Garden Tails

For a brief instant the heavens took pity on us and bestowed the gift of light upon our back garden. As a family of Long-tailed Tits were resident it was an ideal time to hunker down in the bag-hide and see what we could get. Which was quite a few shots of LTTs but while they were happy to come within metres of the hide the shutter noise sent them flying again. So you have to make the most of the first 1-3 shots at best.

Summer Leys

A whistle-stop walk around Summer Leys in Northamptonshire. Too much sun and not enough time to capture very much but we did see fishing Common Terns and lots of insects.

Dunham Massey

The weather finally wakes up and realises it's summer so we got out to stretch our legs around Dunham Massey. This time walking through the countryside around (and through) the estate. The deer were making the most of the sun and lots of insects down by the canal. The 100-400 proved quite useful for some birds along the way.

We've also been taking advantage of any brief periods of good weather to capture some more birds in the garden.

Bit more garden

Still dodgy weather so more bothering the birds in the garden and practising (not particularly successful but learning).
