New Storage
After much pleading we got some money at work for some new storage nodes. This will be the basis for our core storage for the next 3-5 years, and not before time. The old stuff is falling to bits and just not up to the task any more. Before they all end up as anonymous black boxes in the racks I thought I'd better get a few shots of them in a slightly more interesting arrangement.

Rufford Old Hall and Mere Sands Wood
A birthday treat for Gillian including a visit to Rufford Old Hall and gardens, a birthday picnic and a walk around Mere Sands Wood.
On the way round Mere Sands Wood a gaggle of Canada Geese came around the corner. They eventually made their way down a bank and over to a stream. The ruts and tracks down the bank showed where they (or other geese) had made this journey a number of times.

Delamere Forest
With the sun still blasting this week we decided to stay under cover of trees at Delamere Forest. No danger of sun stroke this time, but the horse flies and mosquitoes were still out in force. Not a great deal of bird life around, apart from the Black-headed Gull nursery on Black Moss but a reasonable number of insects were buzzing around the hogweed as usual.
