Chapel Stile

A short ramble around the Langdale valley from Chapel Stile, easing our tired legs. Very dull and grey but dry.

Chapel Stile route (taken from Tracks on Gill's phone, forgot the GPS!)

This is after a rest day of getting a few bits in Ambleside, but more importantly a restorative fry-up at Bilbo's.

Fantastic full english at the quirky Bilbo's

Twisted old tree in the valley

Trees amongst the bracken

Lots of moss and still some wild flowers on the old dry stone walls

Trees only just starting to change near the Langdale Pikes

The rivers are very low after very little rain for weeks. Still a bit of a waterfall further down stream on the Great Langdale Beck.

Who let that duck into my shot?!

Some autumnal leaves on the beck

Small waterfall on the beck
