Moel Arthur to Penycloddiau and on round Fron Haul but coming back via Moel y Parc.

Last year the hills were carpeted in flowering heather but the drought and heat had left everything dry, brown and withered. The day started cloudy with the top of Moel Arthur covered in fog. This cleared to another hot, dry day.

Moel Famau

A walk from Cilcain to Moel Famau, round the forest, back up Moel Famau then the long way back by Moel Dywyll.

Blazing sun and boiling hot. Had to have lunch under an umbrella it was so fierce.

Braving the intense sun (and wind) around Abbey Village. Quite warm in the sun but chilly in the shade. Reservoirs looking quite low.

Back to Moel Gyw, but with a twist. Adding on part of a walk to Moel y Plas to make one big walk taking in more Moels than you can shake a hiking pole at.

Still very hot, sunny and dry, but with a sudden howl of wind near Moel Gyw so we avoided that particular bit. Lots of birds around, including a lucky spot of a Redstart.
