Hollingworth Lake

Trying the new Hollingworth lake route again, now we know the way. No massive traffic jam on the way in this time, so the travel time isn't too bad (mostly motorway, so if you're early it's quite quick).

Moel Arthur

A walk from Moel Arthur, taking in a loop around Fron-haul. We did this walk before but after a winter of inactivity and in blazing hot weather. It was extremely tiring. This time on slightly fitter legs it was a challenge but not too painful.

Hollingworth Lake

An entirely new walk starting at Hollingworth Lake, near Rochdale. Got stuck in a traffic jam on the M62 first thing in the morning, but other than that a good day out.

The route goes under then over the M62 and along the Pennine Way. Views can be a bit bleak out on the moors but the bridges are interesting to look at.
