Tegg's Nose

Revisiting Tegg's Nose after nearly a year and a half. As usual, a roasting hot, sunny day. We spent a long time on the first descent with lots of rain-drops on the foxgloves, Redstarts and a family of Stoats! We could have stayed there all day.

Marbury Country Park

A revisit to Marbury Country Park, after many years. Quite a lot of woodland and wildflowers, although it does get very busy by midday.

Never seen so many harvestmen, legs everywhere!

The waterside near our lunchstop benches were hopping with small frogs and toads. Not as cooperative this time, I ended up with muddy knees and elbows but the only good shots were from one climbing up Gill's arm.

Boothsdale

Blimey, it's the weekend and it's not raining, let's go! A wander around Boothsdale to see what's there (hundreds of horses on narrow tracks, apparently).

We found this Dunnock sitting in the track, dazed and not flying away. After a quick close up we moved it into the undergrowth and provided some emergency rations of crumbs. Might have had a run in with a horse's hoof but no real way of knowing what happened.
