Moel Arthur
A walk from Moel Arthur, taking in a loop around Fron-haul. We did this walk before but after a winter of inactivity and in blazing hot weather. It was extremely tiring. This time on slightly fitter legs it was a challenge but not too painful.

Hollingworth Lake
An entirely new walk starting at Hollingworth Lake, near Rochdale. Got stuck in a traffic jam on the M62 first thing in the morning, but other than that a good day out.
The route goes under then over the M62 and along the Pennine Way. Views can be a bit bleak out on the moors but the bridges are interesting to look at.

Harrock Hill
Walk around Harrock Hill. Adding in a an extra bit leading up to the hill itself to add some variety.
Bit of a grey day but we did see some cute ducklings.

Abbey Village
Walk from Abbey Village around Darwen Tower.
Nothing too interesting but the woods by the reservoir at the beginning were full of birds, including a Blackcap singing.

Llangollen
The extended Llangollen walk.
The camping ground by the old Abbey was full of sheep including a lost lamb. Hot and bright but with some clouds to stop it being oppressive.
